Do you have to pay monthly for the 3g network?
November 5th, 2009 | by admin |I have ATT and i was looking for a new phone. I see all this 3g stuff, and i was just wondering what exactly thats all about.
I just want a simple phone, so is it worth getting a 3g network with that phone if possible?
But mostly, if i do get a ‘3g’ phone, do i have to pay more per month?
Any answer will be helpful. Thanks!
3G is all about the data. It provides a better network for transmission of data with the voice, which translates into capabilities like better downloads, transfers of video and pictures, and even web browsing. You don’t need it if you want just phone service.
And yes, 3G costs more. There are data plans available as an option, or as package deals.
It may be possible to buy a 3G phone and not activate the 3G features. In that case, you don’t have to pay more per month. That depends on the model.
