Yes, you can just use the wifi, but you won’t have net access unless you’re in a hotspot. You can actually use wifi and use safari and the app store and all that without even having a sim card in the phone.

if you’re unlocked on t-mobile you can’t get 3g. The radio that is required for at&t 3g and t-mobile 3g is different. You’ll only be getting edge.
