WWDC 2008 Roundup: iPhone 3G

In this video, I complete the WWDC 2008 roundup and discuss the new iPhone hardware, the iPhone 3G. As you can tell by the name, this phone supports the 3G network which provides much faster download speeds to your iPhone. Many people thought this was the biggest problem with the current iPhone and it should satisfy a great deal of people on the fence. The battery life of this new iPhone has improved dramatically, but there is still a trade-off of using the 3G network. You get 5 hours of talk time on the 3g network as compared to 10 hours on the EDGE network. Many users will be happy that it has a regular headset jack and will not require an adapter. The iPhone 3G also has GPS for location positioning which should satisfy a lot of folks as well.

i can’t believe you …
i can’t believe you would be complaing about paying 500 bucks for an iphone its turns out to eb about $2000 with the contract and $1049 if you buy it outright 8gb. And this is now, I can’t imagine how much it would have been back when it first came out. And I think back then the australian dollar was about 91 us cents. Crazy

every one who talks …
every one who talks about the iphone 3g’s battery life only mentions wifi and talking usage. But what about if you listen to a lot of music and want to watch some videos during the day as well? i need at least 4-5 hours of music (and maybe some video usage) ON TOP of some moderate calling and internet usage. from looking at all the reviews, i dont think the battery will last even half a day with me. does anyone have some insight?

you thinkkk atnt is messing you up in u.s?? rogerss is totallyyy rippin us off in canada. $199(8gb) with a 3 year contract. atleast by paying $30 you get unlimited data,where as we nly get 6gb of data with $30 bucks. the cheapest plan they have to offer us is the 60$ which comes with onlyyy 400mb data, 150minutes and 70 text msg. your atnt 70 – 450 minutes, unlimited data plan. so who is getting mssd more?? i wish we had at&t down here in canada. we have no unlimited data period…
