3G Unrestrictor is a Cydia App that allows you to trick your iPhone into thinking it is on wi-fi when it is on an Edge or 3g network, this allows you to do many things such as watch high quality YouTube videos, make calls on Skype and download files over 10 MB from the App Store.

This is a fix for the missing cellular data network tab on the iphone 3g on 3.0 firmware, jailbroken.
You will need cydia, and winterboard, and be jailbroken on 3.0 of course.
Add this source in cydia:
http://xsellize.com/cydia/youtube789-youtube
then download: Supreme prefs 3.0
open winterboard, enable it,
Then go to settings, and enable cellular data editing, then the tab will be there.
Please rate, comment, and subscribe, and i hope this helps.

So Skype was released on the iPhone on March 31, 2009, but it is restricted to wifi use only. However, it can be modified to run on the Edge and 3G data networks when wifi isn’t available. This is useful so you can Skype anywhere there is data service. This video demonstrates running Skype on the Edge network on a first generation iPhone. Unfortunately, if you have a GPRS data network it is too slow to handle VoIP.
To do this, you will need a jailbroken iPhone and the MobileSubstrate updated to the latest version so that VoIPover3G can be downloaded and used. After VoIPover3G is installed, modify the VoIPover3G.plist to include com.skype.skype and then download the Skype application and you will be able to use it over your carrier’s wireless EDGE or 3G data network.

Bonjour all,
Check this app out. If youre on the go and your edge or 3g network is low, the app could be a saving grace if youre in the right area! With a click of a button this app will display and connect you, if desired, to any open WiFi networks in the close proximity! It only costs 99c from the Appstore. It is a sweet app which boasts a very user friendly interface and some great convenience. Yes, it is similar to what the iPhone WiFi searcher does, but this goes one step further and can reduce searching and pressing by great lengths!
WiFinder Description:
Hate spending time going through the list of the open wireless networks to see which ones actually give a connection instead of redirecting to a local page? This application checks the local networks to see which are open and then attempts to connect to them and retrieve the web page of a popular web browser. If it goes through, you get a green check mark showing its safe to use. Hop over to the Settings-Wi-Fi tool, and choose that network to use in the future! Note that this application is just for looking at open networks – it does not attempt to break into closed networks, nor does it remember your security settings.
Hope you find this review helpful. Feel free to rate comment and subscribe.

In this video, I complete the WWDC 2008 roundup and discuss the new iPhone hardware, the iPhone 3G. As you can tell by the name, this phone supports the 3g network which provides much faster download speeds to your iPhone. Many people thought this was the biggest problem with the current iPhone and it should satisfy a great deal of people on the fence. The battery life of this new iPhone has improved dramatically, but there is still a trade-off of using the 3G network. You get 5 hours of talk time on the 3G network as compared to 10 hours on the EDGE network. Many users will be happy that it has a regular headset jack and will not require an adapter. The iPhone 3G also has GPS for location positioning which should satisfy a lot of folks as well.
