If after Jailbreaking Iphone 3g or 3gS, you want to Unlock your Iphone 3g/3gS, here is the source you can add it in Cydia “repo666.ultrasn0w.com” Here ‘o’ in Ultrasnow is actually ‘zero’. Then install ‘Ultrasnow’ from Cydia again. Finally shut off your Iphone and Put your Non-legit (T-mobile) sim in it and turn it back on, Wait for 2-3 minutes and finally you will see you T-mobile network on top left of Your Iphone 3g.
Iphone 2g would be using 3.9 and 4.6 bootloaders to unlock there Iphone 2g , you can get them here respectively http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U20UB2CK and http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X8U5285N
Please this is very important that when you open Redsnow you have to put in 3.0 firmware file and not 3.0.1 because Redsnow currently works only with this 3.0, and thats how you are going to jailbreak your Iphones running on 3.0.1 firmwares.

PLEASE READ: This video was made just 10 minutes after Dev Team released Ultra Snow, so sorry about the picture quality. Add this source in Cydia ‘http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com’. Please make sure that ‘o’ in ultrasnow is ‘zero’ and not an ‘o’. Install it and then go to search and type Ultrasnow. Install Ultrasnow. Now make sure you have your 3g network off before you reboot. NOw reboot and finally you will have your Iphone 3g totally Unlocked working with another GSM sim, running on 3.0 Firmware. This Ultrasnow will unlock iphone3g running on any baseband and bootloader.

Update: As soon as the windows version comes out I will make a video with step by step instructions, and screen records to show how to unlock and jailbreak the iPhone 3G, and explain how to unlock and jailbreak the 2G, so make sure to subscribe to get the information as soon as I release it!
Getting errors when trying to restore?
Try installing and using Ih8snow (www.ttapple.net) this supposedly bypasses errors when trying to restore with custom firmware.
This video will explain how to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone 3G, the same steps can be used to jailbreak and unlock your iPhone 2G (first generation), just use the correct firmware. This video will NOT help you if you have a iPhone 3GS or iPod Second or Third Generation. If you accidentally upgraded to 3.1 official on your iPhone 3G you CAN-NOT unlock with this firmware, I’m sorry

UPDATE!:
If you accidentally upgraded to 3.1 with the official firmware you CAN downgrade your baseband (so i’m being told) by using Fuzzyband. Read more at http://tr.im/zepq
The Steps:
1. Put your iPhone/iPod Touch in recovery mode (http://tr.im/yOft) with it plugged into your PC/Mac.
2. Press and hold shift on your keyboard, click restore in iTunes.
3. Select the custom firmware you downloaded (below).
For 3G:
4. Disable 3G if you are using T-Mobile.
5. Open Cydia (after putting in your wireless network), add the repo repo666.ultrasn0w.com.
6. Add Ultrasn0w.
7. Your done!
For 2G (first generation):
4. After the restore is done, YOUR DONE! Your phone should be jailbroken and unlocked.

Get MMS on iPhone 3G for Tmobile on 3.0 OS FW
This works on T-Mobile’s Network only
Add these to MMS Settings in: Settings-General-Network-Cellular Data Network
Add this in MMS field:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username: leave blank
Password: leave blank
MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
MMS Max Message Size: leave blank
MMS UA Prof URL: leave blank
Then reboot your iPhone.
Then the picture icon will show up in the Messages App.
This allows you to send pictures, video and audio messages for the same price as a text.
There is no additional charge for MMS on T-Mobile’s Network. Same price as sending a text.

Getting errors when trying to restore?

Quick problem solvers:
1. Hold Option(Alt key) and click restore
2. If using an iPhone 3G/3Gs on a DIF network than At&t, keep Activate phone selected. Opposite for At&t Users(Unselect it).
3. Use YOUR phones firmware file.
IF YOU LOSE SERVICE, JUST DOWNLOAD ultrasn0w FROM CYDIA! IT FIXES THIS PROBLEM!

I have 2g iphone with firmware 2.1,unlocked and jailbroken via Quickpwn. Everything works fine besides wifi,it just can not find any wifi networks,it just keeps searching and searching. I already tried resetting network settings,did not help. Even at public wifi places it can not find a signal. Does anybody know what can be the problem?
well, it may be something internal with your iphone, but it may not be powerful enough, or there may not just be a signal. but i would bring it to the att store, they will fix it, or replace it.

Read here before getting started
This will unlock your iPhone 3G & 3GS on NEW Firmware 3.1.2 with baseband 05.11.07
IMPORTANT
For iPod touch 3rd gen users this is still Tethered Meaning evey time you reboot you will need to run blackr1n you will not need to resync apps or music and you themes will stay saved.
IMPORTAN WiFi Probs
If you have lost your WiFi after the Unlock follow this.
Go in to settings Click general then network now go in to cellular data network scroll down and click reset settings now your WiFi Should come back.
DO NOT DELETE THE BLACKRAIN OFF YOUR IPHONE YOU WILL HAVE TO REDO THE WHOLE PROCESS I MADE THAT MISTAKE NOT VERY FUN LOL

This is a tutorial on How To Jailbreak all devices using BlackRa1n. This is very easy for all iPod Touch users. You couldn’t imagine an easier jailbreak. The iPod Touch 3G is a tethered Jailbreak meaning that once you turn it off you can’t get it back on again without connecting it to your computer and running BlackRa1n again. more info at the bottom.
iPhone users, it is a little more complicated. If you rely on Ultrasn0w for you network connections then do not update to 3.1.2. Don’t do anything just stay on the firmware and baseband that you are on now. If you are on an official carrier then go ahead it’s fine.
What is a tethered jailbreak:-
When you Jailbreak your iPod Touch 3G with Blackra1n it will mean that it becomes a tethered jailbreak. It can run on it’s own however it may need the support of a computer, hence the name tethered. If you device goes off then you won’t be able to get ti back on again without plugging it back into the computer.
