T-Mobile only has the shitty edge network in my area and looks like they dont have the 3g network in nearly every city in america…would other carriers like Verizon have a different 3g network or is at all one?
Each carrier builds its own network except for resellers like Virgin Mobile). There is NO comparison between T-Mo’s network and Verizon or AT&T. These two are FAR better than T-Mo.
I don’t know what T-Mo’s problem is. They spent a TON of money for 3G spectrum 2 years ago, and have done NOTHING with it. In the same time period, Cricket and MetroPCS have been building like crazy in the spectrum they bought in the same auction. The only thing preventing T-Mo from building a 3G network is T-Mo. (Maybe they’re waiting for 4G. If so, they may have the last laugh.)
Verizon uses a different technology, so you’d need a new phone if you switch to them. You might be able to use your T-mo phone on AT&T. It WILL work, but I don’t know if AT&T will allow it.

Hi all, thanks for your answers in the past.
I am looking into buying a very cool phone on eBay and I am trying to find out if it will work with my MetroPcs account that I currently am using an activated working ZTE C79 phone.
The seller of the phone I want to buy and switch my service to sent me the following answer when I asked him if the phone will work with MetroPcs;
"you could contact your carrier first. If your carrier supports GSM 850/900/1800/1900 frequency, then it could work…This is a GSM mobile phone.(not 3 g or cdma network phone) Please make sure your network is compatible with GSM.."
I HAVE ALREADY CALLED MetroPcs and ASKED THEM this and THEY CANNOT ANSWER this question…..unbelievable…they say only "bring the phone to your nearest corporate store and ask them if the phone can be transfer service to.." RIDICULOUS!
I will NOT BUY NOR POSSES this phonw UNTIL AFTER I find out if it will work with MetroPcs.
Do you know if MetroPcs uses the above mentioned GSM frequency as stated by the seller of the phone I want…. GSM 850/900/1800/1900 frequency? Does metropcs support this frequency?
Note: The phone I want is UNLOCKED.
Thank you in advance if you know the answer…have a good day!
P.S. Please see below you can copy and paste the link to the phone I want on eBay if you want to view it;
